About Brian

A 2002 graduate from the University of Kansas, Brian Hanni landed his dream job as The Voice of the Jayhawks in the summer of 2016. In addition to announcing play-by-play for men’s basketball, baseball and football, Hanni hosts Hawk Talk—weekly in-season radio shows with Bill Self and Lance Leipold.

Hanni is also Director of the Rock Chalk Roundball Classic, a charity he founded in 2009 with the goal of raising money for families fighting pediatric cancer. As of 2022, the annual event has raised over $1,000,000 for local families.
